We are Mothers We are a group of mothers who have lost a son or daughter while on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States of America or died as a result of such service, or are missing in action.

We are a Veterans Service Organization, established in 1928 and chartered by the United States Congress in American Gold Star Mothers continue to honor our sons and daughters through service -- service to veterans and patriotic events.

Throughout the country, local chapters serve in their communities. Much of the service and fellowship of American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. happens at the chapter level. You can find your nearest chapter on our website. If there is not a chapter near you, we can help you to form one.
