The Local Organization Rural Metro: 1.Provides 911 transportation to the City of Orlando and to a portion of Central Orange County without subsidy. 2.Employs roughly 250 people with over 230 dedicated to service in the field. 3.Maintains 41 ALS and 5 BLS Type VII ambulances.

The Local Organization Rural Metro: Maintains local CQI program and employs its own in-House Medical Director. Received its 3 rd consecutive 3-Year CAAS accreditation.

The Local Organization Rural Metro: A wholly owned corporation of Rural Metro Corporation based in Scottsdale, AZ RMC operates in over 300 communities in a variety of Public/Private partnerships.

Rural Metro 911 Service Region

RMA Performance For the period 7/1/2004 – 6/30/2005: 1. RMA responded to 69, calls 2. RMA transported 43,874 patients 3. Only turned over 258 (.58%) calls to local fire agencies due to system overload.

RMA Performance 4.Arrived on scene within 10 minutes or less about 95% of the time. The county contract requires 90%. 5.Average time to off-load a patient in the Emergency Department is about 44 minutes. 6.Total time per transported (from dispatch to offload) patient is about 74 minutes.

Community Involvement RMA: Transports 300 patients a year from the Central Receiving Center (CRC) to local hospitals; 70% which are uncompensated. Administers a Citizen CPR program that has trained nearly 2000 people in 2 years. Donates standby EMS services to local charitable organizations.
