Digital Communication By: Kimmie LaRich

Digital Communication- is how we communicate with people all over the world Two main ways we communicate are : Cell phones Computers

Cell phones and computers can connect us right away with people very far away They allow us to talk with friends and family that are close, or far away Calling lets you hear the person you are speaking with Text messaging allows you to send messages and even pictures and videos

Computers Computers allow us to communicate with anyone is the world like friends, family, and even complete strangers Through computers we can use the internet which, allows us to , watch/create/send/receive videos and pictures, and most importantly look at different websites

Cell phones and computers can be good if we need help looking up information on the internet, or to keep in touch with friends, and family that live far away But, they can also be very dangerous and it is important to know Internet safety

Internet Safety It is important to know that when you talk to other people on the internet, it is easy for strangers to lie about who they are That is why it is important to follow these internet safety rules..

Rule #1 DO NOT give out any personal information like your phone number, address, your parents phone number/address, or name and location of your school without your parents permission

Rule #2 Notify your parents or teacher right away if you find any information that makes you feel uncomfortable or scared

Rule #3 Don’t give out your user name or password to anyone, even your best friends (only your parents)

Rule #4 Always check with your parents before going to any website

Rule #5 Always check with parents before downloading anything for the internet

Rule #6 Don’t ever talk to any strangers

Rule #7 Don’t post, share, or send any pictures/videos without your parents permission

REMEMBER: The internet and cell phones should be fun and useful ways to learn and communicate when used safely!
