WEDDING TRADITIONS TRADITII DE NUNTA

 A fost odata ca niciodata……doi tineri dintr-un sat numit Borod care au hotarat sa-si uneasca destinele…. Astfel cei doi impreuna cu parintii si nasii au pregatit o petrecere pe cinste. Urmariti-o si nu veti regreta…  Once upon a time there were two young people from a village named Borod who decided to get married…. So, the two young lovers together with their parents and best men and ladies have prepared a big party. Watch it and you won’t regret….

Femeile din sat duc cinste soacrei mari cu o saptamana inainte de nunta, constand in alimente pentru pregatitul mesei. The women from the village, one week before the wedding, go to the groom’s house to his mother and give her some goods for preparing the food for the party

Inainte de nunta fetele din sat, necasatorite pregatesc mireasa pentru nunta…….. Before the wedding starts the unmarried girls from the village gather at the bride’s house to get her ready for the ceremony.

Mirele insotit de nuntasi si nasi ajunge la casa miresei pentru a-i cere mana. The groom accompanied by his best man and lady and also by the guests, go to the bride’s house to ask her hand in marriage.

Dupa ce primesc acordul parintilor, tinerii pleaca la cununie. After they get the parents’ blessing, the bride and groom go to the church for the religious ceremony.

Intorsi de la cununie, soacra mare ii pofteste pe nuntasi la masa. Coming back from the church, the bride’s mother-in-law invites the guests to help themselves from the food prepared.

Apoi graitorul ii invita pe miri si pe nuntasi la joc. Then the wedding coordinator invites the bride and groom and then all the guests to dance.

Dupa ce au petrecut vreme indelungata, nuntasii au dat darul mirilor. After the guests partied for a long time, they gave the bride and groom the wedding gift.

La sfarsit aceleasi fete din sat imbraca mireasa cu haine de nevasta. At the end, the same girls from the village dress the bride with new wife clothes.

Nuntasii raman sa petreaca in continuare timp de trei zile si trei nopti….. The guests continue to party for three days and three nights…..
