I.What is the world like today PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT The international situation continues to be profound and complex ● Peace and development remain to be the main theme of our time ● The world is far from being tranquil Global economic stagnation Global challenges widely exist Wars in the middle east and recent instability in Syria

II.What kind of world do we desire PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT There is no easy way, but three essential elements can help ● Political inclusiveness ● Cultural diversification ● Common prosperity

PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT II.What kind of world do we desire Political inclusiveness ● Every country is unique and is entitled to pursue its own path ● Cold mentality still lingers on the other hand ● Acceptance and respect of the reality of diversity serves as basic preconditions of a harmonious world

PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT II.What kind of world do we desire Cultural diversification ● Human society needs diversity the same as nature does ● Exchanges of civilizations has provided one of the ultimate driving forces of development

How to make the world stable, peaceful and prosperous China’s independent foreign policy of peace ● China owes its rapid development mainly to its own efforts ● China’s development needs a peaceful environment ● China will stay firmly on the path of peaceful development ● relationship among peace, development, cooperation and win for all
