Great Britain France Russia

The Allied Forces primarily consisted of Britain, Russia, and France. The Alliance was to help and defend each other when need be. Their rivals were Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy. The alliance, commonly known as the Triple Entente, developed from the Franco-Russian Alliance (1894) formed to counter balance the threat posed by the Triple Alliance of Germany, Austria- Hungary, and Italy. At first, Britain, in 1904, became allied with France in the Entente Cordiale, and later on, the Anglo-Russian convention of 1907 completed the Triple Entente.

The Allied Powers won World War one through a battle of endurance. Germany began to weaken from within, and the Axis was running low on resources. Britain had prevented all their overseas supplies and in a desperate last attempt Germany fuelled all their resources in one final battle which led to the Allied Power’s victory.
