3. Why was Britain forced to enter the war?
Short term reasons
The only way Germany could get into Britain was through Belgium. Germany was able to attack France through Belgium so Great Britain to be able to protect their own country declared war on Germany
Long Term reasons
Britain became rival with France and Germany because they all wanted to colonize Africa
When the Russians wanted to take over the Dardanelle, they saw this as a threat to their trade with India.
