M AIN GOAL To support the establishment of a pro-innovation infrastructure at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences ; Implementation of the national innovation strategy in the sectors of Energy Efficiency (EE) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT); Factor for the development and enhancement of the ‘science to business’ relation, promotion of new knowledge and technology transfer towards Bulgarian enterprises in support of their competitiveness and sustainable development. 24 October,2013 AComIn – Starosel, Bulgaria

Activities implementing the main function Assessing the needs and possibilities for improving energy efficiency through the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in different economic sectors such as energetics, machine- building, transportation, construction, etc; Providing small and medium enterprises, government institutions and research organizations with services for the evaluation of possible applications of ICT for energy efficiency; Participating as a full member in networks of technology transfer offices as well as in existing or emerging innovation infrastructures; 24 October,2013 AComIn – Starosel, Bulgaria

Being a coordinator and an intermediary in the field of energy efficiency innovations through ICT; Disseminating and promoting industry-related results of the applied research conducted by institutes of BAS countrywide/worldwide; Providing consulting and expert services in the field of technology transfer, intellectual property and financial management of innovation projects by engaging representatives of trade associations, non- governmental and intermediary organizations. 24 October,2013. Clients of the Technology Transfer Office Criteria to select companies, organizations and institutions for inclusion in its action plan: The most important selection criterion is the candidate’s compliance with the goals and tasks of the Technology Transfer Office; Candidates are selected based on their production and marketing strategy; Candidates should possess true potential and capacity to fulfill their idea for energy efficiency and be ready to cooperate with representatives of the scientific community (institutes of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, universities), so that new novel products and production methods are initiated; 24 October,2013 AComIn – Starosel, Bulgaria
