This project will take approximately 2 weeks of research, product creation and presentation. Students will be provided 45 minutes at the end of each class to work in their groups, along with weekly group reports of progress.

TASK Your job as a historian is to travel back in time through your research to establish connections between the ancient world and the one that existed in Europe during the Renaissance. Within your group, you will be able to identify how your civilization impacted the changes in Europe during its rebirth by conducting research. You will be analyzing primary and secondary source documents, and creating your own presentation describing how a European city-state from the 15th century incorporated visible elements from your ancient civilization. Daily reports from groups will be required to ensure timely progress.

PROCESS.1 - Research Each group will be responsible for going through primary and secondary source links under their corresponding civilization. Individually, you will compose a 1-2 page analysis of your findings. What specific ties exist between your civilization and the later period of the Renaissance?
