MEMBERS: Who attends? Administration, Counselor, Psychologist, Teachers _______________________________________ *Comprehensive Team that represents the interests of the individual student. *Student and Parent(s) participate in the meeting.

FREQUENCY: How often do you meet? Weekly Twice a month Monthly As Needed ______________________________________ *Meet twice a month or more as needed (around SEP Conferences), on a regularly scheduled day and time.(School Culture)

STRUCTURE: Who runs the meeting? How are students referred? Administrator Counselor _______________________________________ *Chaired by an administrator. *All referrals go through a single person, to insure intervention levels have not been skipped and referrals are appropriate. *LCMT is NOT a Sp.Ed. Referal meeting only.

Cooperative learning strategies Allow use of Tape recorder Have tests read orally to students Modify work load (less problems, don’s grade spelling, etc) Do not have student read aloud in class Allow extra time on assignments Give in class break by sending student on an errand Provide copy of notes/lecture Use peer notes Work with planner to provide organization Write instructions for assignment down Talk to parents – Encourage after school helps Have personal discussion with student outside of class Rearrange room / seating assignments to control behavior Student/Teacher behavioral contract Communication with parents regarding inappropriate behavior Provide a rewards program for positive behavior Give student a job to help you with in class Preview/discuss appropriate behaviors with class prior to activity Make eye-contact with student and repeat instruction multiple times (3x) Have student take small time-outs in hall way (this should not be longer than 5 minutes as to not distract from learning).
