What is PBIS?  Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.  A proactive approach to school-wide discipline.  PBIS is a program that implements a positive and preventive instructional approach intended to teach and encourage expected behaviors. PBIS is data driven and it establishes a continuum of behavioral support.

3. Why should we endorse it? PBIS is based on proven research which supports its effectiveness in promoting positive school climates. It also increases students’ academic achievement and social competence.

21. Goals for 2007-2008 Goals for 2007-2008  Our goal for this year is to reduce our number of office referrals by 25% (from 2178 to 700).  Our goal is to distribute 4,000 “R” Bucks to students displaying the Code of Conduct or desired behaviors.
