What is a Smart Board? An interactive white board which plugs into a computer and a projector The computer image is projected onto the screen Controlled by a pen or a finger It is an interactive whiteboard that can save and store any information that is written on it, as well as enable the user to refer to notes downloaded from the Internet or other sources.

What is a Smart Board? Smart Board is the general name for these boards but SMART is the specific brand name. The pen tray is what causes the smart board to function. The pen tray senses a tool's absence, and relays a message to its host computer's processor to start picking up input signals from whichever implement the user has chosen. Smart technologies is a Canadian company from Alberta Been around since 1991
