To evaluate through in-lab tests the correct functionality of the SAFESPOT in-vehicle platform based on the what stated: a.in the HW (Task 1.3.5); b.in the SW specifications tasks (Task 1.3.4); c.in the validation plan (D1.5.1) Final result Technical and functional tests of the hardware and software modules integrated in the SAFEPROBE test bed will be done.

SAFESPOT Project Kick off Meeting February 16 th and 17 th 2006 Rome 10 SAFESPOT – SP1 – WP 1.5 TASK In-vehicle platform validation Leaded by CRF – Other Partners involved: REGIENOV, VOLVO, PIAGGIO, IBEO, MMSE Start month: 29 - End month: 34 Main activities 1.Performance of on-board vehicle functionality test 2.Performance of in-depth system optimisation work 3.Integration of the SAFESPOT in-vehicle platform on the demonstrator vehicles provided by CRF, VOLVO, PIAGGIO. 4.Tuning and optimisation of the main parameters defined for the system functionality directly on the selected test-sites. 5.Consolidation of the in-vehicle platform in order to be utilise for the development of the cooperative applications and functions. Final result D1.5.2 In – vehicle platform test results

System verification based on: a.the specifications set in WP1.3 b.the use cases and test scenarios defined in the D Collection, data and performance analysis of the SAFESPOT in-vehicle system from both theoretical and on-road tests analysis. 3. Test and verification of driving situation recognition (e.g. slippery road, etc) in real driving mode. Final result D1.5.3 Performance analysis in the situations defined in the test plan design

CRF In –lab and in – vehicle system validation and test On- road test trials and data analysis Co-responsibility with ICCS of the deliverable D1.5.1 Co-responsibility with BOSCH of the deliverable D1.5.2 REGIENOV Definition of test methodologies with the other partners to be used to test and validate the results of the SAFEPROBE subproject. In-Vehicle platform validation Specification of the In-Vehicle test scenarios and test plan to be deployed by REGIENOV to test and validate the elements of SAFEPROBE results to be incorporated into the west test site.

Performance analysis of the SAFESPOT system from both theoretical analysis and on-road tests analysis. BOSCH Task leader Participation to Functional and performance tests according to validation plan (test cases) of SAFEPROBE HW and SW modules, test reporting. Co-responsibility with CRF of the deliverable D1.5.2 PIAGGIO Collection and analysis of data from the on-road test trials related to the motorcycle. Performing validation tests using the test plan design.
