EASIS develops a general hardware and software architecture for integrated safety applications, and provides in addition appropriate engineering methods how to deal with safety- and dependability-related systems and components. PReVENT develops and validates preventive and active safety functions leading to an early application of novel technologies, assesses their impact and accelerates their implementation and field penetration. APROSYS develops and validates technologies and tools for the protection of vehicle occupants and other road users during the accident phase, by utilising new passive safety measures. GST develops technologies and services for a heterogeneous wireless vehicle network environment, supporting the establishment of safety relevant functions based on mobile communication and ad-hoc networking available at a European level. 11 SP1 WP1.2 Needs and Requirements
(WP leader: ICCS) Task 1.2.1: Vehicle Probe Use Cases Task leader: MIRA Planning 01/02/06 -> 31/06/06 (5 months) Objectives: Identify suitable driving scenarios (“use cases”) and test specifications for dedicated scenario and applications; Develop models of these use cases in UML; Perform high-level hazard analysis to identify criticality of vehicle probe data, VOLVO CONTRIBUTION: Contributions to the identification of the driving scenarios mainly taking into account trucks problems.

12 SP1 WP1.2 Needs and Requirements
Task Requirements Task leader: VOLVO Summary: Planning 01/04/2006 -> 30/09/2006 – 6 Months Deliverables: Volvo is responsibel of the deliverable D1.2.3: Requirements for the vehicle probe platform (M8) / Restrictive Dissemination Contributions: VOLVO REGIENOV PIAGGIO IBEO SVDO MMSE BOSCH ICCS

13 SP1 WP1.2 Needs and Requirements
D Requirements for the vehicle probe platform Target: Commercial vehicles, Cars, Motorcycles Key points to be investigated: System should be flexible to be used in different kind of vehicles using different equipment Focus on electrical, vehicle system interaction (communications buses…), EMC issues, integration issues Requirements for the data acquisition and processing units (data fusion, …) Communication link, V2V and V2I exchanges -> INFRASENS and SINTECH relations to be established here Data security and integrity – establish network with SeVECOM Requirements and needs input and outputs to: SP2 INFRASENS for Infrastructure platform SP3 SINTECH positioning, digital maps and communication and networking technologies. SP4 SCOVA for vehicle applications requirements SP5 CoSSIB for infrastructure based systems requirements SP7 SCORE system core architecture
