OPENING STATEMENT When I first stated this project I first thought here is just another project but as I moved along I realized what it meant to be a leader and this was a life long learning experience. Leadership is not just leading people but knowing how to work with people in order to work towards a common goal.

SECTION 1 SELF LEADERSHIP Outcome number 3 College can be a very stressful ad emotional time for any student. When I get depressed or upset from either bad grades or social issues I manage my emotions I watch my favorite movie Never Back Down. This movie shows as character, who overcomes adversity and achieves his goal. This movie helps me to remember that I can overcome anything that I put my mind to. The evidence for this outcome will be the movie it self.

SECTION 2 Leadership Theory and Models Outcome number 45 For the FLITE group project we had to make a new club and organization based on one of the three leadership models that we learned about. My group decided to base our group on the Social Change model. The group we made was a post-Leadership Institute group for students to join if they wanted to stay involved in leadership, while introducing new students to the minor who did not go to the institute to have a chance to get involved in Leadership Studies. We chose to use the Social Change model because we are trying to bring individuals together into a group to help change the community. The evidence for this outcome will be the directions for the group project.

SECTION 1 SELF LEADERSHIP Outcome number 5 Once a day during the week I go to the gym to get away from all my outside stresses. Evidence for this would be the shoe lasses from the shoes I work out in. College is full of different stresses, from class to personal stresses. Going to the gym and working out helps me overcome these stresses by exerting energy. After I go to the gym I am more relaxed and I do not focus on my stresses as much as before I walk in the gym.

SECTION 4 Critical Thinking Outcome number 69 The FLITE group project was not something you could do. You really had to think about it. The first step was we needed to think of a type of the would best fit the school and our needs. Then we had to figure out the best way to propose it to the instructor. The group had to fill out the questions and we thought about the best way to go about it and we decided that working on the collectively would be the best way to go about it. There was one person who would write down what we would say. We would calmly all pitch our ideas to answer the question then we would form those points into answers. Then when it came to making the poster we decided that the best coarse of action would be to split everything up equally because all we really need to fill out the poster was the questions to make up the separate parts. Critically thinking about this project and making smart decisions lead to a success in the end for the group. Evidence for this outcome will be the guidelines for the group project.

SECTION 5 Interpersonal and Organizational Concepts and Skills Outcome number 80 Being a Leadership Ambassador my main goal is to inform people about the Leadership minor and the Leadership Institute. This is not something commonly offered at schools around the country. So many people are not going to be too familiar with what we offer here at URI. Naturally they are going to have a lot of questions to ask me. While I was a Leadership Ambassador I was asked plenty of questions regarding the minor and institute. I used active listening to make sure I would understand the question fully so I was able to answer it to the best of my ability. Evidence for this will be the Leadership Ambassador shirt tag showing that I was working at welcome day and using active listening.
