ANURAAG ATLURI Contrasting Communisms Picture Project

Russia Russian support and main areas were based in cites. China Chinese support and main areas were based more in rural and agricultural areas.

Russia Russia population was not as big as the chinese population and did not grow as fast. China China had a very large population, which was always on the rise.

Russia Russia was by themselves with no allies and did not have any countries to aid and help them. China China had many allies during this time, and was very well backed up with the help of these countries.

Russia Russian power only took 1 year to come to power. China Chinese communist power took decades to come to power.

Russia Russians targeted the middle class for their main communist following. China China targeted their communist power towards the lower-class and wanted them to be their main followers.

Leaders Russia and China both had one main communist leader who wanted to instill communist beliefs and were very violent. Vladimir Lenin leader of Russia. Mao Zedong leader of China.

Socialist Societies Both Russia and China wanted to build and have socialist societies They also thought this was key to Success.

Industrialization China and Russia both thrived to make their community's industrialized and thought this was extremely important.

Militaries China had extreme militaristic views and had a big military as well. Russia was also extremly military based and had a large military.

Resources Both China and Russia thought that mobilization of all their resources was a big priority and would lead to a big advantage. These are the russian rosources These are the Chinese they tried to mobilize. Resources that were mobilized.

Education and Literacy Russia and China both had a huge spike in literacy rates during the rise of communism as well as a rise in educational opportunities.
