Definition of Mindfulness Paying attention on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally, to the unfolding of experience moment to moment.

Benefits of Mindfulness Improves well-being -Easier to enjoy simple pleasures -Less likely to get caught up in worries Improves physical health -Relieve stress -Lower blood pressure -Improve Sleep Improves mental health -Treatment of depression, anxiety, and eating disorders

Interesting Facts The practice of mindfulness has shown to decrease stress levels, depression, and anxiety. If you practice mindfulness for 5 minutes a day it can help you stay calm and relaxed.

Easy Starting Points for Mindfulness Sit for 5 minutes in silence focusing on one thing (can be a flower, a picture, etc.) Meditate Do it on your drive to work Do it while waiting in line Do it while doing the dishes

Conclusion Mindfulness serves many mental, physical, and emotional benefits. It doesn’t take very much time or effort to practice mindfulness everyday.
