Elements of Artwork Shapes can be geometric (like a circle or a square), or organic (like a blob or a flower petal).

Can you find geometric shapes in this painting?

It is a picture of inanimate or lifeless objects, such as fruit, flowers, or dishes.

Today’s project is to make a still life collage using this picture as a model. What is a collage? A collage is an artwork made of pieces of materials put together on a canvas.

Materials : Paper Scissors Scraps of paper Glue sticks Markers

Step 1: Prepare the shapes Sketch the following objects on the provided pieces of scrap paper: book (rectangle) instrument (oval & long rectangle) plate (oval) Cut them out.

Step 2: Compose the picture

Glue your shapes onto the paper. Make sure you spread them out. Stay on the page! Add grapes using tissue paper.

Step 3: Add details Use markers to add background and other details.
