Describe patterns of production and consumption of fossil fuels that are traded among nations. Today’s Target: Identify major oil production and consumption areas in the world. Reminder: Map AND Vocabulary quiz on Friday

Role of Oil…  Industrial Revolution…decreased dependency on coal and increase in…  Oil 37% natural gas and 27% oil (world) is used in America annually. 19 million barrels of oil a day U.S. oil reserves are only 2-4% of world total. Most of the oil we consume comes from foreign sources.
