Information that travels through your computer is stored on BITS as either an on or off signal. Programming is using of bits and bytes in different combinations to represent a code. People who write codes to create programs are called COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS Programming allows PEOPLE AND COMPUTERS TO COMMUNICATE MORE EASILY.

A program is a set of instructions that tells the computer how to do a certain task. Copying a program’s instructions from a CD to your computer’s hard drive is the process of installing the program. Programs can also be downloaded from the internet.

Some Popular Programs Programs are grouped according to the task they perform. The following slides list common programs & what they are used for.
