Unit 2 – Assignment 3 Evaluating My Work For Both Events By Amy Vickers

Evaluating My Prop My prop for Artisound was a hanging music note made out of wood. The purpose of my prop was to make the set more pleasing to the eye and I think it brought creativity to the set. Advantages Of My Prop: Durable – my prop was durable because it is made out of wood and would survive through wind or rain, it was also put together well so it wouldn’t break if it was dropped. Weather proof – wouldn’t be damaged if it got wet. Linked in with the event as Artisound was a music event – as Arti- sound was an event based around music, my prop linked in well. Disadvantages Of My Prop: Was fairly small so was not very noticeable – would have been more effective if I had made several music notes different shapes and sizes to make them more noticeable. My prop didn’t stand out because it was black and was fairly small.

How I Would Improve My Prop If I was going to re-make my prop I would make several more music notes and wooden instruments to make them more noticeable. I would also make various different sizes and colours of them, I would do this because it would be more creative. I would also make the props so the audience would interact with them, I would do this by inviting the children to decorate the music notes and instruments, this way they would be more interesting and more fun for the audience. I would also offer the audience to buy one of them which they decorated to raise money. This is an example of different types of music notes.
