How to Access and Use the Faculty Wiki! TeleCoop Breckenridge, Colorado April 16, 2008 Facilitated by: Lisa Marie Johnson, Kathy Miles, and Jonathan Fuller

When you leave this session, you will be able to… 1.Access the Faculty Wiki and set up a user account. 2.Navigate the Faculty Wiki Headers, Sidebar, and Toolbox. 3.Access a User Page and use Personal Tools. 4.Create, Edit and add a variety of content to pages. 5.Judge ways to use a Wiki in your course.

Wiki is a Hawai'i an term meaning very fast or “Quickly”. There are multiple types of Wiki technology that share common benefits, such as being accessible via the Web and allowing you and students to … - Quickly edit/add content. - Quickly track changes through “history” - Quickly search for content. - Quickly identify user contributions. - Quickly see relationships (links) among content. The Faculty Wiki uses the “Media Wiki” technology, which is the same technology as Wikipedia.
