3 Definition WikiWiki, means "super fast" in the Hawaiian language( Adele Aubrey, Univ. of Manchester) Wiki refers to both the website and the software to create & maintain the site A wiki is a website that can be edited and contributed to by anyone (can be restricted to an intranet like the Wiki on KNG

4 Wiki: “…a web application that allows users to add content, as on an Internet forum, but also allows anyone to edit the content. The Portland Pattern Repository was the first wiki, established by Ward Cunningham on March 25, 1995.
