Reproductive Organs within the body

Facts of the Female Reproductive System PID – Pelvic Inflammatory Disease this is when there is scarring of the fallopian tubes not allowing the female egg to travel to uterus. If a sperm is able to fertilize the egg the baby starts to form in the fallopian tube. This will cause great abdominal pains and rupturing of the tubes.

Toxic Shock Syndrome When a female gets a bacterial disease in which a foreign substance is lodged in the vagina. The body begins to poison itself causing shock, coma and possible death

More notes Unlike the male who can make millions of sperm each day the female has all the eggs she will ever have in her ovaries and the time of puberty. Metapos – When a female can no longer have babies or has a menstrual cycle The Vagina is also known as the birth canal

Female Notes Cancer of the cervix can be detected with a pap smear test. Shedding of the Uterus wall is called menstruation. Fertilization is when the sperm and egg unite. Ovulation is when the egg is released from the ovary into the fallopian tube An egg can still be fertilized by the sperm even when the uterus wall begins the shed.
