Feature based contact pair identification Contact pairs either planar / cylindrical / both between bodies within a specified tolerance can be identified automatically. Copyright © 2012 Altair Engineering, Inc. Proprietary and Confidential. All rights reserved. Contact definition between bodies / node sets / element sets / groups can be defined in a text file (*.dat). File based contact definition can be imported and contacts will be created automatically between the specified entities. Node sets / Element sets / Groups have to be pre-defined before importing the contact definition file. Contact definition file can be exported from SimLab. This improves modelling robustness and consistent contact definitions to avoid errors. File Based Contact Creation
