Mise en scene: The majority of the sequence is animation but the animated props in it symbolise the themes of the film. For example there are playing cards, dice and fruit machines within the sequence. When the real life comes in at the end a narrator sets the scene by telling us it is Christmas in California. We can also see this because there is a man dressed as Santa in the street and people are wrapped up warm which indicates its winter. There are also Christmas trees on display. It looks like its set a while ago from what people in the scene are wearing. Mise en scene: The majority of the sequence is animation but the animated props in it symbolise the themes of the film. Se7en- Kyle Cooper Sound: Creepy discordant non-diagetic music that picks up pace as the opening titles progress, makes you feel uneasy and that something is coming. Some odd muffled out screams edited in and what sounds like thunder at the beginning. Titles: White san serif text that flashes and blurs in and out of dark backgrounds like a flickering light. Use of two different fonts but both have a spooky feel.

Mimic- Kyle Cooper Narrative theme: The genre is thriller and the main themes are disease carrying insects which is shown mainly visually but also through narration of someone saying there is an epidemic.
