PrincessCatherine of Braganza ( ) In 1662 Charles 11 married princess Catherine of Braganza from Portugal. She brought the tradition of drinking tea to England.

Queen Anne of England ( ) Tea drinking became even more popular during the reign of Queen Anne from 1665 to 1714.The Queen chose tea over the traditional ale as her morning beverage and many followed her lead.

Queen Vitoria ( ) Henry James wrote: “ There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as an Afternoon tea.”
