Presentation transcript:

People go to cemeteries to be with the souls of the dead and build altars containing the favorite foods and beverages as well as photos of their ancestors who have passed away.

Toys are brought for the dead children and bottles of tequila for the dead adults. Candy is also a common gift left for the souls.

On this day some families will gather around and tell stories about the dead. Others might dress up like the dead or were beads and dance around to wake up the dead.

The traditions for how the day of the dead is celebrated vary depending on where you live. A skull is usually the main symbol for the day of the day.
