October 2012 Updates: Enjoying Halloween disco at school and a play date with Hamish

Before the afternoon Halloween disco at school, we invited Del, Elijana and Isabella for a play date. The girls did some garlands together, ate afternoon tea and played in the sandpit while Hahgoot sang non-stop (it’s her stimming time of the day).

We gave Eli a witch’s costume and Bella a fairy costume, and Alma chose to be a bumblebee, while Hahgoot made up her own monster outfit.

Running away from the buzzing bee... Hahgoot had a costume change so she could take the mask off after entering the disco hall. Alma was TOO CUTE with her matching bee doll (her idea – she is good with matching accessories!)

Jasmin put a lot of effort into her witch costume Eli, Hahgoot and Sophie You don’t need much to have a fantastic costume!

While the big girls had their fun disco, the little girls had a party of their own, including two trick-or- treat visits

Hamish came over for a nice play date. At school he has been quite obsessed with Hahgoot, so we are trying to keep them apart there. Hamish has problems keeping personal space, and Hahgoot doesn’t use body gestures and her voice to indicate he is too close, so it’s a bad combination... As long as I kept them busy, we had no problems. First they made plaster butterflies.

Then they had a painting session

After the painting they made play dough pets – Hamish has a nice artistic talent. In our next presentation: Alma is cooking up a storm!
