Martin – “Everything would be OK if we didn’t have grades, tests and reports all the time, if there was less pressure.” Me – “In a way yes but… there is always one NO. Without tests, grades and other things like this we cant remember everything. Martin age 7

Janet – “Most lessons are boring Janet – “Most lessons are boring. Sometimes I just have to doodle on my desk or write letters. Otherwise Id fall asleep.” Janet age 9 Me – “Maybe you need to sleep more. Most of lessons are interesting if you understand them.”

Gary – “It’s always the teacher who decides what we are going to do Gary – “It’s always the teacher who decides what we are going to do. What we need is more democracy.” Me – “Is this a school or what ? Teachers must teach us and we ought to listen to them. What else do you want ?” Gary age 16
