Research Misconduct What is Research Misconduct? Try to resolve informally If not go into formal confidential process Formal process has three stages: - Preliminary Investigation - Initial Enquiry Panel - Formal Investigation Outcome may be no finding of RM, training required or disciplinary procedures including for malicious or vexatious claims

Research Integrity Concordat University responded to Consultation Sets out 5 commitments for assuring high standards and integrity in research Researchers, Employers of Researchers, Funders of Research Signatories include: DfEL, HEFCE, NIHR, RCUK, UUK, Wellcome Trust Compliance, or working towards compliance, a condition of HEFCE Grant 2013-14 Confirm in annual assurance statement Russell Group working together
