History (Part 1) The Holocaust took place from 1941-1945 About 6 million Jews were killed during the reign of Nazi Leader, Adolf Hitler At the Auschwitz concentration camp, millions of Jews, died due to hunger, disease, exhaustion, gunshot wounds and and the gas chamber

History (Part 2) They wore striped uniforms (resembling pajamas) without underwear Wore wooden shoes without socks They wore an armband with a star design The armband was used to separate the Jews

Location The main character, Bruno, first lived in Berlin, Germany and then his family is relocated to Auschwitz, Poland Auschwitz was a large camp located in Oświęcim, Poland The three main camps were: Auschwitz I Auschwitz II-Birkenau, Auschwitz III-Monowitz
