4 Introduction The Holocaust was a very horrible time for many young, sick, elderly, people. It all started with a man named Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler ostracized an entire race of people by deliberately discriminating against everyone that was not of the Aryan race. During this he killed over 500,000 Jewish people, by the end of 1941. also between 1942 and 1945 a total of 8 million Jews were sent to extermanation camps.

5 He was born on April 20, 1889. In Austrian town of Braunau. As a kid he enjoyed reacting battles. At age of 18 he moved away from home using his fathers money. 6 He was the founder and leader of the Nazi Party. When he ran for president in Germany in 1932. He won 30% of the votes. The way he talked to the people was that they could rule the world for a 1,000 years. Through the years he kept the thought of destroying Jews. He died in July, 20, 1944.

7 messed On the nights of November 9 th and 10 th a thing called Kristallnacht occurred. Also known as The Night Of Broken Glass. Gangs of Nazis went through breaking windows of Jewish homes. Over the time 101 Synagogues were burned in two days. Over 7,500 homes and businesses were messed up. Also, 26,000 Jews were sent to concentration camps.

8 The word Ghetto came from the name of Jewish Quarter in Venice. They were cities which Germans concentrated the population of Jews. Most Ghettos were closed off either by walls or fences with barbed wire. They were extremely crowded. Also, they were very unsanitary. Many deaths were caused by starvation, severe winter weather, and other. Thousands of Jews died in the Ghettos. The Warsaw Ghetto, was the largest located in Poland. Here about one third of the population was Jews. Over 75,000 people died staying in the ghetto over diseases and starvation.

9 There were many Jewish and other races put in Concentration Camps. The worst camps were in Poland. Auschwitz was the worst concentration camp. Over 3,000,000 Jews died there. The ways they would kill people is by diseases, gas chambers, starvation, lack of nutrition and many more. When you would get to the camp they separate people into two groups. One group was going to be killed the others had a chance but had to do hard labor. During this many families were separated.

11 In the end over one million people died from many things. Adolf Hitler was finally killed after taking over Germany. He was a dictator for 12 years. It was a hard time for a lot of different races. A popular Jewish family was the Frank family, or other wise Anne Frank. Over the time things got burned, killed and separated. He was finally captured, later he committed suicide. After that it took years for the German region to go back to normal.
