The blood shows the viewer the devastation and brutality of the situation of the infection and draws them in to find out how it got like that. The fire conveys anarchy and loss of society as a whole and what the infection has done to Britain. This involves lots of close up shots of people shooting and then wide shots so the viewer can get to grips with the surroundings and the location of were its set.
