Geothermal Advantages By Katie

Geothermal Energy Advantages Summary Geothermal energy is a cheap, clean and plentiful energy source. It will be here forever and is not harmful to the environment. Learn more about the good things in geothermal energy in this power point.

Geothermal Advantages – A Clean Energy Source Geothermal energy is one of the cleanest energy sources. When geothermal energy is being made into electricity, dry steam power plants make very low levels of pollution. At a hot water (binary) power plant, there is no pollution created, and the same for flash power plants. Also, geothermal energy is renewable, so we will never run out of it and use it until the earth ends. When geothermal energy is extracted, it can be done without burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas. Out of the 27 billion tons of carbon emissions humans create in a year, geothermal energy production produces almost none of them.

Geothermal Energy – A Renewable Resource Geothermal energy is a renewable resource. This means that we will never run out of geothermal energy. Geothermal energy is renewable because the process of geothermal formation is going on right now and will continue until the earth ends. When people use geothermal water from the earth, they can return it and use it again later.

Geothermal Energy – Making Money! Once a geothermal power plant is built, it only costs 4.5 to 30 cents per kilowatt hour, making geothermal energy cheaper than most energy sources. If someone installs geothermal energy to a house, it can and will reduce a heating bill. A geothermal reservoir can provide heat for decades before running out, causing companies to spend less money looking for another reservoir. Also, geothermal power plants are built right on top of their source thus wasting money shipping energy to the power plant.

Geothermal Energy Is Awesome ! Geothermal energy is an amazing energy source with so many advantages. To help save the planet and be more environmentally friendly, use geothermal energy more often! See if you can install geothermal energy to your house or if you can help out a geothermal company. Every bit helps the planet. Geothermal energy is awesome!
