Bring your family and friends to Snowbasin for a Ski Lift Equipment tour and lunch. Start out the morning with a 2 hour tour of the ski lift equipment given by an engineer. The tour includes: 45 minutes at the Needles & John Paul Express Parking Garage with an explanation of how the garage works, what it’s for, and close-up examination of key detachable gondola components 30 minutes at the Needles Express bottom return station, witnessing first-hand how the gondola detaches from the haul rope and a presentation of the bullwheel driven haul-rope tensioning system A ride on the lifts to the top station 45 minutes at the Needles Express drive top station and motor room with a presentation of the 3 available lift power systems and drive train. This is an opportunity to see oversized engines, gears, and equipment For guests not participating in the tour, Snowbasin offers a bounce house, euro bungee, and playground for kids. Adults can choose gondola rides, hiking, disc golf, and mountain biking. Guests can pre-purchase lift tickets through ASME for $10/person. Lift tickets are valid for the entire day. After the tour, lunch will be served in the Huntington Room at Noon. Lunch includes a ham or turkey wrap, a bag of chips, a piece of fruit, a cookie, and a bottle of water. Cost to guests and ASME members is $10/person and is being subsidized by ASME. Payment will be collected on the day of the event. We will be meeting at the Huntington Room in Earl’s Lodge At 9:00 AM. Merge to I-84 eastbound and exit at Mountain Green (exit #92). Continue east on Old Highway and turn left on State Road 167 heading north (just east of the Sinclair station). Turn left on State Road 226 heading west and proceed approximately three miles to Snowbasin. From the North (Logan, Brigham City, Ogden): Ogden's 12th Street/Ogden Canyon Route: Take I-15 southbound and exit to 12th St./State Road 39 eastbound (exit #344). Proceed east on 12th St./State Road 39 through Ogden Canyon, past Pineview Dam and turn right on State Road 167 heading south (just west of a gas station). Turn right on State Road 226 heading west and proceed approximately three miles to Snowbasin. I-84/Weber Canyon Route: Take I-15 southbound and exit to I-84 eastbound (exit #340). Proceed east on I-84 and exit at Mountain Green (exit #92). Continue east on Old Highway and turn left on State Road 167 heading north (just east of the Sinclair station). Turn left on State Road 226 heading west and proceed approximately three miles to Snowbasin. From Park City: Take I-80 eastbound and exit to I-84 westbound. Proceed west on I-84 to Peterson/Mt.
