1 Getting to the Walters Art Museum, Sunday, September 18th
If you have a car (and those with, please share a ride!) Drive North on I-95 to Baltimore Take Exit 53, which, after turning towards downtown, will split Bear right on this split as the right lane will turn into Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Continue on MLK Jr. Boulevard, between the Ravens and Orioles stadiums, and on until Druid Hill Ave. (This will be approximately 1 2/3 miles from the split itself, and go through 10 traffic lights) Take a right at Druid Hill Ave., which is the 11th traffic light (it is One Way in the Right direction) The Walters is five blocks down on the left (note that Druid Hill Ave. turns into Centre Street in 2 blocks). You can park on the streets north of the Walters or in the parking lot just before the Walters on the left (you can get reduced rates from the Museum Shop). If you use public transportation (figure about $19 total; use a SmartCard for the entire trip) Take the Shuttle Bus to College Park Metro. Here’s the schedule (make sure you look at the weekend schedule!) Take the MetroRail to Greenbelt Station (one station; it’s the end of the line). Hop on the B30 Shuttle to BWI (Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International) Airport. Here’s a schedule. You should be dropped off right next to the Light Rail Station at BWI, on the ground floor. Hop on the Light Rail and go into the city, getting off at the Centre Street stop. Here’s a map and a schedule (Northbound). When you get off at Centre Street, head down (East) the same for three blocks, to the Main Entrance of the Walters Art Museum. It looks like this…
