PARENTALK Care for the Family are coming to Leeds on Tuesday 17th November to present “Parenting under 12s – a survival guide!”. It will be led by Rob Parsons and Katharine Hill from Care for the Family. It’s at St George’s from 7.30 – 10pm and tickets cost £6 from Why not make a housegroup night of it – if you don’t have your own children at home, why not offer to babysit for someone so both parents can go? WEEKEND AWAY 2016 Last month we launched our Weekend Away 2016 and we are now over half full! You are invited to come and join us as we have fun and meet God together over the weekend of 1 st – 3 rd July at Scargill House in the Yorkshire Dales. There will be worship, teaching and a choice of indoor and outdoor activities – and we hope time to develop your relationship with God and each other. Information has been ed out already, so book now – accommodation will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis! THIS COMING WEEK Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. SPECIAL CHURCH MEETING On Sunday 1st November we'll be having a Special Church Meeting to decide whether to re-elect Jessica Friend onto the Leadership Team for up to a further 3 years. This will happen during the second part of the service and should only take 2 minutes, but as we weren't quorate at the last Church Meeting, we would like to take a vote sooner rather than later. Jessica would like to continue on the Leadership Team, but may not continue for the maximum 3 years, having already served a 6 year term, and given increasing work commitments. If you have any questions, do ask Jessica or Robin or Simon. VACANCY FOR CHURCH ADMINSTRATOR We are looking for an administrator, preferably with experience. The role encompasses many areas, including (for example) communications, finance and event co-ordination. A full job description is available upon request. The role is part- time, 12 hours per week (days to be agreed). Contract from 1st January 2016, but preferably earlier to allow for any orientation.
