MENTOR TRAINING PROGRAMME This programme is for those interested in mentoring. The aims are to provide practical training as a spiritual mentor; to move beyond education to build competency in mentoring ministry; and to apply training materials to the actual mentoring partnership of trainees. We’re joining together for a shorter, but normal-ish service with the children staying in. There will be a creche for the under 5s. This is what is happening over the coming weeks: 30 th August (Bank Holiday Weekend) – normal(ish) service at the school 6 th September – Hymns in the Street at 10.30am in Regent Street There’s no Sunday Club during the holidays, so the services will be all-age. There will be a creche though, if needed. CHAPEL ALLERTON FESTIVAL The Chapel Allerton Festival is next weekend! Come and join the fun on Saturday from 11 till 5pm. CONTEMPLATIVE CREATIVITY DAY Anyone who enjoys, or would like to explore, creativity and art, and also to spend time with God in a worshipful, contemplative atmosphere will enjoy this day. The morning is relaxed and chatty, experimenting with various materials, while the afternoon comprises a time of meditation using music and scripture followed by a quiet, personal creative response. It’s on Saturday 12 th September at Stainbeck URC from 9.45am – 3.30pm and the cost is £8.50. Refreshments are provided on arrival and drinks throughout the day but please bring a packed lunch.
