Are you new to CA Baptist Church? On Sunday May the 22nd we are having a newcomers lunch for all who have recently started to worship with us. The lunch will be straight after church at Claire and Miguel’s house, Model Farm, Farm Hill South, LS7 2QB
Messy Church
We could do with 1 or 2 more volunteers to help with Messy Church each month, either to run an activity or help in the kitchen. It is lots of fun! See Helen Greenwood for more information. If you fancy coming along to see what Messy Church is about, the next one is on Sunday 15th May at Stainbeck Church at 3.30pm.
Cakes for Christian Aid Week
A selection of homemade cakes and tray bakes will be served during coffee on Sunday 22nd May in aid of Christian Aid Week. There'll be an opportunity to make a small donation on the day if you'd like to but if not, enjoy the cakes!
YBA Assembly
The YBA Assembly will be held on Saturday 11th June at The Well Baptist Church in Sheffield.
 The title for the day is ‘From the Margins to the Centre’ - and the theme is ‘Discipleship'. Roy Searle from the Northumbria Community will lead the discussions for the morning. In the afternoon there will be three short seminars on:
Discipling children
Discipling young adults
Discipling in the local church

Pentecost Service Next week
The Pentecost service next Sunday (15th May) will be a joint service held at St Matthew’s Church at 10.30am. The service will be followed by a bring and share picnic with games.

There is an ecumenical choir rehearsal on Friday 13th May at 7.30pm at St Matthew’s - open to any & all.
THIS COMING WEEK
Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A.
Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor.
Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall.
Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall.
