1 SUNDAY 29th January 2017 If you'd like to find out more, please contact Hannah Messy Church: Volunteers wanted to help in the kitchen or help run an activity at Messy Church. Messy church is once a month but any commitment would be a great help. Please see Helen Greenwood if you are interested. PAFRAS We have received a letter from PAFRAS thanking us for the donation that we gave them and detailing their work with asylum seekers and refugees in Leeds. There is a copy of the letter at the back should you wish to read it. Fruitfulness on the Frontline Lent is on the horizon, and starts on March 1st. Throughout Lent we will be following a course called 'Fruitfulness on the Frontline' on Sundays. It's about how we can serve God in our 'regular' lives. The course includes a DVD and small group material and housegroups will be invited to follow it. If you're not in a housegroup but would like to join a temporary group to study the course please get in touch with Simon by the 19th February. Baptist Assembly 2017 This year’s Baptist Assembly will be at the Harrogate International Centre on Saturday 13th May. Tickets are £30 for Adults and £10 for Youth. YBA are seeking volunteers to help with the event. Volunteers will gain free entry to the Assembly and a free lunch. If you think you may be able to help then please contact Debbie Gamble at Tickets for the Assembly will be available online later this month and further details about Assembly can be found online at Please note that we are not allowed to use the equipment in the lower playground and that any children playing there must be supervised by an adult. Thank you! Set up in February – Mark and Rachel Riches housegroup Set up in March – Mark Baxby’s housegroup Today Stuart will be leading our worship. After the break Rabbi Esther Hugenholtz will be speaking on Esther as we continue our series on the minor prophets. Welcome to Chapel A THIS COMING WEEK Tuesdays at 11am in the church office - a short prayer meeting with the staff and whoever would like to pray for Chapel A. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. Wednesday – WOW youth group for Years 8+ in Chapel Allerton Methodist Hall. Please contact Hannah Dey on or about any of our usual groups for young people. Come 4 lunch Sunday.  A chance to get to know others in the church through sharing Sunday lunch, the idea being that perhaps 3 or 4 households people invite a handful of people back home for Sunday lunch.  This is being planned for the first Sunday each month starting Sunday 5th February. A doodle poll will be available on the website so that individuals can indicate which Sunday they plan to host. For more info,questions,comments or support to do this please contact Lisa Baxby Volunteers Wanted Cell: On Wednesday evenings in term time a great bunch of young people from across our local churches gather at the Methodist Centre to explore faith, hang out and generally have a good time! We're looking for adults to come alongside them and support them in small groups as they chat and think about faith. Send newsletter notices and news to or phone the church office on Thursday is the cut-off for any notices for that Sunday’s news-sheet.
