TALKING  Engaging in speech  it is important to always talk to your co- workers whether it be about work or casual.  Scenario: if your friend says “How was the game last night” and you say “it was good” this is a situation where you and your friend are TALKING to each other.

LISTENING  Take notice of and act on what someone says, it is also to respond to advice or a request.  scenario: “could you please pass me the books on the table”

UNDERSTANDING WHAT IS BEING SAID  The ability to understand or comprehend something.  Scenario: not able to understand a math equation.
