Intervene if you see a case of alcohol or drug abuse. Do not drive or work under the effect of drugs or alcohol Do not drive or work under the effect of drugs or alcohol To ensure compliance with this rule you should as a driver or passenger: Using alcohol, illegal drugs and misusing legal drugs or other substances will reduce your ability to do your job safely.

3 In April 2008, a bus driver at night took an unauthorized journey from a camp along with 3 passengers and drove to a hoist site to request diesel. While returning to the camp the driver failed to see a T junction and drove straight on into flow lines and collided with them at speed. The driver who was found to be under the influence of alcohol fractured his leg and was trapped in his seat. Two other people were thrown out of the front window and over the flow lines and were lucky to survive. A serious environmental incident was also narrowly avoided.
