WEBSITE OVERVIEW

Website Description This website is a sports informational web page for a single race car driver in the World of Outlaw(WoO) Sprint Car series. It will be built around the information that many of the series’ fans are accustomed to and desire. Information on this site will be written by a combination of the driver, the driver’s personal representative, and the driver’s team Outside information from the World of Outlaws series will include the racing schedule and points.

Target Audience General ages from 15 to 30 Both male and female For the driver’s fans as well as general race fans or local track fans Navigation built around a novice race fan web user

Structural Theme Hierarchical site structure Has a little more depth than the simplistic sequence structure, but is not as complicated than a web-linked site

Site Pages The names of the pages are simple and let the user know what they can expect to find on each of the pages Link to the website’s site map found at the bottom of the page

NAVIGATION

Base Navigation Website logo will be used as the link back to the home page. As a user hovers over a base navigation link, the text turns a light blue. Active navigation link text will be yellow in color. Sub-category menus will have the same properties as the base navigation Sub category’s base navigation heading text will remain the yellow color to let the user continually know where they are.

Breadcrumb Breadcrumb will be placed in the bottom section of the website with the copyright information The active page will be in yellow text and any preceding pages will be white text Hovering on a preceding page will give the text the blue color as before.

Images on Site Size and resolution will vary depending on digital camera usage. Image load time should take between 3 seconds and 6 seconds Color mode will be RGB There will be no image animation Interactivity will depend on the page the image is located. It may open to a full version image or may link you to the Photos page File types will generally be JPEG or GIF, but sponsor logos may be presented in PNG Color feel may be dark or colorful

Videos No animation will be present in video previews, just a static image. Interactivity again depends on the page. It will take you to the Videos page or open a full video player to watch the video(Video or Home page) Video will have option to choose the quality of video to be played: 240p, 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p, or automatically chosen based on users internet connection Basic file types such as avi, mp4, or wmv Video toolbar appears when you hover over and disappears when not hovering over the area where toolbar is located
