CARICOM ABOUT DEVINFO harmonising toolDevInfo is a harmonising tool for storage, exchange and dissemination of data on human development. DevInfo is an integrated desktop and web-enabled tool.DevInfo is an integrated desktop and web-enabled tool. tables, graphs and thematic mapsThe application is integrated with Microsoft Office for easy presentation of data in tables, graphs and thematic maps.

CARICOM OBJECTIVES The Implementation of DevInfo in the Region seeks to: Strengthen capacity Strengthen capacity in the National Statistical Systems to produce and disseminate information that are relevant and timely; Improve Improve the quality and coverage of information; and standardised Enable a standardised and routine mechanism for information exchange using DevInfo.

CARICOM CARICOM received funding from UNICEF for activities related to the enhancement of DevInfo CARICOM/CDB/UNICEF meeting on the Implementation of the DevInfo Dissemination Software in the Region in January The Objectives were: –To share experiences of Member States who are in the process of implementing the use of DevInfo; – To assess the implementation support required by Member States desirous of implementing DevInfo; and – To communicate possible support available from development partners. STATUS OF IMPLEMENTATION

CARICOM Presentations were made by Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Dominica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and CARICOM on their adaptations and lessons learnt during the process and by UNICEF on the now released DevInfo version 6.0. Participants also discussed the support required by their country for the commencement of the implementation or the expansion of DevInfo in their country STATUS OF IMPLEMENTATION (cont’d)

CARICOM The OECS Secretariat was trained in DevInfo versions 5.0 and later in 6.0 and is scheduled to launch OECSInfo. Grenada was trained in DevInfo 6.0. CARICOM STATUS OF IMPLEMENTATION (cont’d) DevInfo presented to Ministries and Government Offices at Advocacy for Statistics event in Anguilla Dominica to receive Technical Assistance for their Web adaptation of the DevInfo. St. Kitts and Nevis to receive training in DevInfo 6.0 in November St. Vincent and the Grenadines to receive Technical Assistance towards the launch of their adaptation.
