“I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.” Nathan Hale was caught as a spy. The penalty for saying is to be hanged. Nathan Hale was brave and faced the British. He was a 21 year old school teacher. He died trying to deliver secret British attack plans to General Washington. We are proud of the bravery of Nathan Hale.
