CMS and SPS (WSS) on same machine and one or more Internet IIS virtual servers are set as the entry point for both products.  The MCMS 2002 Connector for SharePoint Technologies setup application automatically synchronizes the WSS ISAPI filter exclusion list.  Exclusion list config tool (excludeCMS.exe) must be rerun:  if you add new channels  If you add more MCMS Web applications  If you add a new MCMS Web application that does not have a matching top-level channel, you must manually exclude the virtual directory from the Windows SharePoint Services path management.
