National Regional Policy Framework Better Care Better Health Better Life High Quality Care for All focus on innovation  Establish SHA duty to promote  Outlines support process including Regional Innovation Fund NHS Constitution outlines commitments to innovation for patients & staff. Quality Innovation Productivity & Prevention agenda NW Healthier Horizons, innovation is core to the strategic direction outlined in our regional NHS vision. Implementing so that people in the North West benefit from the latest advances in medicine and health care.

NW Innovation Vision Better Care Better Health Better Life Our vision is to create a culture across the Northwest where innovation is enabled, expected, supported and celebrated. The focus of innovation in our region is in developing new knowledge and using existing knowledge in new ways to create value and improve quality.

SHA Role Better Care Better Health Better Life SHA role continue to act as a catalyst for change by  stimulating new ideas  support development of innovators  rewarding best practice to enable ideas to be put into practice widely and quickly  promoting new ways of working to tackle long-standing problems. SHA requires innovation to the drive improvements in quality and productivity and focus the NHS regionally on prevention of ill-health.

Managing in partnership to grow and spread tomorrow’s best practice in the NHS.
