CELTS AND THEIR ORIGIN Julius Sebastian Köster Tallinn’s France school 10. B class

WHO WERE THE CELTS  The Celts were a diverse group of tribal societies in Iron age Europe.  Later in the Iron Age Celts had expanded over a wide range of lands.  The Celts were in good relations to the neighboring countries.  There is no written record of the Celts stemming from their own documents.

CELTIC LANGUAGES  There are six main Celtic languages. They are: Irish, Welsh, Breton, Scottish Gaelic, Cornish and Manx Gaelic They are divided into two Goidelic and Brythonic. These languages are quite simmilar.

THE LIFE OF CELTS  The Celts lived in villages  They were very different from the Iberians.  The Celts lived their days farming, crafting and animal taming  The Celtic women had a lot of power.

THE FALL OF CELTS  The Celts were great warriors.  They lost Britain because they couldn’t cooperate.

 Took information from    British history
