Continuing Professional Development The importance of CPD to your profession Without learning, the knowledge gained from innovation and experience will not spread throughout industry So what is it really? It’s taking a structured approach to life-long learning It’s about keeping up to date with technical and business related subjects It’s about being even better at what you do It’s about skills and knowledge enhancement

Continuing Professional Development How much CPD should a professional undertake? The 64 million dollar question Consultation with Private and Public Sector and Academics What counts as CPD activity? Different categories – for example: Formal and informal learning Training courses Conferences, seminars, branch events Self study – reading books, journals and articles
